The axis ruler related settings of the control allow you to change the appearance of the axis ruler line and caps. This allows you to show the direction of the axis and is commonly used in scientific charts. The following settings are available:
Begin Cap
The begin cap group of settings controls the appearance of the ruler begin cap. The ruler begin cap is displayed near the scale range begin value. The following settings are available:
Shape - controls the appearance of the ruler begin cap shape.
Width - controls the width of the ruler begin cap in points.
Height - controls the height of the ruler begin cap in points
Stroke Style - invokes the stroke style editor allowing you to change the stroke of the ruler begin cap.
Fill Style - invokes the fill style editor allowing you to change the filling applied on the ruler begin cap.
Breaks Cap
When the axis contains breaks the ruler line can be disconnected in order to highlight the range of values that are skipped by the break.
Show On Breaks - when checked the ruler line will not be disconnected if there are scale breaks.
Break Cap Shape - when the ruler line is disconnected (Show On Breaks is unchecked) you can optionally select a cap shape to be shown at the break position on the ruler line.
End Cap
The end cap group of settings controls the appearance of the ruler end cap. The ruler end cap is displayed near the scale range end value. The following settings are available:
Shape - controls the appearance of the ruler end cap shape.
Width - controls the width of the ruler end cap in points.
Height - controls the height of the ruler end cap in points
Stroke Style - invokes the stroke style editor allowing you to change the stroke of the ruler end cap.
Fill Style - invokes the fill style editor allowing you to change the filling applied on the ruler end cap.
Stroke Style - invokes the stroke style editor allowing you to change the stroke of the ruler line.
