All axes in the control (Cartesian X, Y, Depth, Polar Value, Polar Angle and Radar) share a number of common settings. Some of the settings differ slightly depending on the axis orientation or accepted values (for example Radar axes can scale only numeric data). All scales share the following settings (which are exposed from the Scale tab directly):
Inverted - controls whether the axis scale is inverted. When inverted the scale will begin from the range end value and end with the range begin value.
Show Labels - whether to show scale labels.
Show First Label - whether to show the first scale label.
Show Last Label - whether to show the last scale label.
The following table briefly describes the settings exposed trough the different Scale sub tabs in the axis editor and provides links to more detailed topics.

Title |
Scale |
Allows you to control different settings related to the axis scale. The available settings may vary depending on the axis type (Cartesian, Polar Angle, Polar Value or Radar). |
Scales |
Ruler | Allows you to control the settings related to the axis ruler. | Ruler |
Range | Allows you to control settings related to the range displayed by the axis. | Range |
Gridlines |
All axes can display gridlines at the back and side chart walls. From the gridlines property page you can specify the appearance of the major and minor gridlines as well as control the walls on which they are displayed. |
Grid Lines |
Ticks | All axes can display ticks with controllable size, stroke and position. | Ticks |
Stripes |
All axes can display stripes with controllable length and interval at the back and side chart walls. From the stripes property page you can specify the appearance of the stripes as well as control the walls on which they are displayed. |
Stripes |
Sections | All axes support sections, that allow you to conditionally apply filling, stroke and text properties when scale decorations fall in a specified range. This allows you to visually highlight important ranges of data. | Sections |
Const Lines |
Constant axis lines (reference lines) allow you to highlight a value of the scale on the chart walls and the polar radar plot area. |
Const Lines |
Breaks |
Axis breaks allow you to skip a range of data on the axis. For more information check out the topic.
Axis Breaks are supported for Cartesian Axes only.
